This can happen if the rider speeds up abruptly, encounters an obstacle or continues to ride, after receiving a low-battery alert.

Sony VAIO notebook computers Recalled for Shock Hazard
Users could receive a mild electric shock, when the recalled computers are connected to a phone line and the phone rings.
