Gears in the Electronic Throttle Body May Break

Broken throttle body gears can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software and inspect and replace the electronic throttle body assembly as necessary, free of charge. Engine Failure

Engine failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.

Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, inspect for diagnostic trouble codes, and test drive the vehicle, free of charge. The dealer may also inspect the oil pan for metal debris, and replace the engine if necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner letters are expected to be mailed March 27, 2026. Improper Battery Connection May Cause Fire

A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.

Alternator Wiring May Short and Overheat

Overheated wiring increases the risk of a crash or fire.

Dealers will replace the current 2-piece connector body with a single in-line crimped connector solution for each of the three wires from the alternator assembly, free of charge. Brake Pedal Mounting Pin and Retaining Clip Not Installed

An unsecured brake pedal can separate from the actuator, causing a loss of braking ability and increase the risk of a crash.

Park Outside - High Voltage Battery May Catch Fire

A vehicle fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.

Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Also, owners are advised to only charge their vehicles to a maximum of 80% battery capacity until the remedy has been completed. Dealers will replace the high voltage battery, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed February 27, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available.
