Insufficient Pedestrian Warning Sound/FMVSS 141
Insufficient pedestrian warning sounds may fail to alert pedestrians of an approaching vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.
Dealers will update the software for the pedestrian warning sounds, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed April 17, 2026.
